Location of the Birds of Prey World Cup Races
The Birds of Prey racecourse has a mid-mountain finish area located on Beaver Creek Mountain. Red Tail Camp is accessed by shuttle service, by ski or snowboard, or with snowshoes (dependent on weather).
We encourage you to visit the official Birds of Prey website for complete event details.
Parking:
Parking is available at the complimentary parking lots at the base of Beaver Creek. Regular free shuttle service will bring you to the covered bridge parking stop, where special shuttles run to Red Tail Camp every five minutes from 6am to the completion of the races.
SHUTTLE: Buses run every five minutes starting at 6am until after the races have concluded. The buses run from the West and East parking areas, located at the base of Beaver Creek, dropping off at the covered bridge. From the covered bridge, use the "Downhill" buses, which will travel up to the Birds of Prey finish area at Red Tail Camp. Courtesy transportation is also provided on training days, running continuously to and from the Birds of Prey Downhill course and the Beaver Creek covered bridge. Skis and snowboards are not permitted on the buses. Consult maps and signage for seating.
SKI/SNOWBOARD: Beginning at the top of the Centennial Lift (Lift #6), follow Red Tail run to the Birds of Prey course crossing. Follow the Birds of Prey course crossing to the south end of the Birds of Prey finish area, and consult maps and signage for seating areas. Please note that this access is dependent upon adequate snowfall and most of the terrain to the finish area is intermediate to advanced levels.
SNOWSHOE: Spectators can showshoe up the Wagon Road to the finish area. The Wagon Road is located just west of the Dally Road and can be accessed from the bottom by Lost Buck Trail just off Dally. Please note that no pedestrians are allowed on Dally Road.
