 | 2009 American Ski Classic March 17-21, 2009: Skiing legends, sports and entertainment celebrities and corporate America join together on the slopes of Vail Mountain during the 2009 celebration of the American Ski Classic presented by Korbel California Champagne, March 17-21. This event combines the thrill of both professional and amateur ski racing with an array of entertainment options for fans of all ages. With exciting racing action on the slopes, and live entertainment and sumptuous dinner events off the slopes, there is always something to do at the Ski Classic.  | 2008 Black Diamond Ball: The tenth annual Black Diamond Ball, the Vail Valley Foundation’s largest fundraiser of the year, will be held at the Vail Ritz Carlton Hotel, Bachelor Gulch on Friday, December 5th, at 6:00 pm. Recognized as the unofficial kick-off to the winter social season in the Valley, the Ball’s proceeds benefit a cross section of the Foundation’s initiatives in athletics, the arts, and education that enhance and sustain the quality of life in the Vail Valley.
