Bud Light Street Beat is back... and it's better than ever! The 2007-2008 season introduces a new format, featuring fewer shows with higher caliber performers. We've also added a second car giveaway to the series: we'll raffle off a Volvo C30 at both the first and last shows this year... so don't miss your chance to drive off in a brand new luxury sports car!
In the 1980s era of new wave ska, The English Beat reigned supreme. Their songs fuse ska, pop, soul, reggae and punk, and they exploded onto the scene with an authoritatively unique sound. Hits like “Save it for Later” and “Mirror in the Bathroom” consistently placed them at the top of the charts on both sides of the pond. They continue to play their timeless ska rock in sold-out venues around the world.
Locals can register weekly to win one of two 2008 Volvo C30s. Visitors can register for the grand prize Volvo Vail Return Vacation with deluxe accomodations for four. The season kickoff is being held at Checkpoint Charlie in Vail Village. All other concerts will also be held at the traditional Checkpoint Charlie location in Vail Village.
