Vail Global Energy Forum

2016 Hero VGEF

The Vail Global Energy Forum 2016 will present a fifth year of energy-focused discussions January 29-31, 2016 at venues across the beautiful Vail Valley, with Beaver Creek’s Vilar Performing Arts Center serving as the main venue.  The event will once again be presented by Stanford University, the Precourt Institute for Energy, and the Vail Valley Foundation.

Discussions at the Forum will continue to examine North America as a Global Energy Powerhouse, focusing on creating improvements in energy efficiency, sustainability, clean energy technologies, energy security, and energy supply.  Discussions will focus on technical and regulatory innovations on hydraulic fracturing; financing of clean energy; and the future of transportation.  These latest discoveries and innovations will be shared during the Forum’s full two and a half day program which will prove to be highly stimulating and thought-provoking.

Featured speakers, panelists, and attendees will again include an exciting roster of distinguished government officials, corporate energy executives, leading research scientists, venture capitalists, investors, entrepreneurs, and world-renowned journalists.  The Forum will also host more than 125 students from top North American colleges and universities, underwritten by our generous sponsors.

The event takes place at the base of Beaver Creek Resort, providing an intimate setting for networking and conversation that's just steps away from breathtaking views and one of the country's best winter outdoor sport destinations.
