The Story Pirates Greatest Hits Show celebrates creative writing by students from coast to coast in a big, hilarious sketch comedy musical performed by professional actors and musicians. The performance is based entirely on stories written by elementary school students, and part of the show is made up on the spot by the kids in the audience! Called "crazy entertaining" by the Daily Show's Jon Stewart, Story Pirates will keep you doubled over laughing, all the while motivating kids to pick up a pencil and write from their own imaginations. Sketches run the gamut from kung fu ninja babies fighting crime to cats flying to tickle monsters who rule the world.

The Story Pirates are a national education and media organization founded in 2004 to celebrate the words and ideas of young people. By pairing world-class teachers with first-rate actors and comedians, they offer a variety of tools to make learning more engaging and effective. Dually based in New York and Los Angeles, they are best known for a master-class writing workshop that brings teaching concepts to life, followed by a musical sketch comedy show featuring stories by students and performed by professional artists. Their acclaimed programs and professional development services for teachers are in place at over 350 schools from coast to coast, with podcasts and radio broadcasts heard by kids and adults around the world.

“This is real. You know, these are real kids writing real stories and getting great joy out of it.” - Jon Stewart
