One of the greatest all-around skiers of all time, Luxembourg’s Marc Girardelli ranks fourth in career World Cup victories with 46. Although born in Austria, Girardelli switched federations when he was twelve years old when his father Helmut decided that he was not getting the proper attention from the Austrian team. During the course of his 18-year career, Girardelli earned a total of 11 World Championship and two Olympic medals. From a World Cup standpoint, he won the overall title a record five times, which is unmatched on the men’s tour, along with six discipline crowns.
